HOC Galoppen Trophy
“The HOC Galoppen Trophy will be presented to the highest scorer in the West
Midlands League. In the event of a draw, it shall be presented to the one who first attains that score. If there is still a draw, it shall be presented to the one with the highest total of points scored over all events in the year.” A further caveat is that where a member has the highest point total and is in an age category with no other competition they may waive the trophy in favour of the next highest scorer.
In 2025, this was won by Jake Fox. Jake, Joey Fox, Corrie Blackmore, Alison Sloman, Seb Blackmore, Georgina Hudson and Pippa Blackmore all contributed 600 points to HOC’s WML score. Jake and Seb both scored maximum points in the first six events to reach their total before the other five. The second tie-break is on total (counting and non-counting) points. Seb ran all 10 events reaching a total of 996, but is just pipped by Jake’s perfect score of 1000.
