David Williams came back with a haul of podium positions from the 22nd World ARDF Championships which took place from 16th-22nd August in Lithuania. Six club members went to Catalunya, Spain this month representing Harlequins at the 2025 World Master Orienteering Championships. Royal Deeside hosted this year’s Scottish 6 Days. Some two dozen HOC members enjoyed high quality terrain, beautiful views and near perfect orienteering weather. Seb Blackmore has been selected to represent England in October’s Ward Junior Home Internationals. The annual event is contested by teams of orienteers in the M/W14, M/W16 and M/W18 categories from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, with this year’s individual and relay races taking place on the weekend of 11th and 12th October in South Wales. Grizedale Forest was the venue for Saturday’s ‘Long’ at the British Championships, and proved to be a tough technical and physical challenge on a beautiful sunny day in Lakeland.
