Sutton Gates Run 22^nd July2026 – Organiser’s Notes

Apologies for the changes of date, but I think we did the right thing.  Thankfully on the 22^nd the weather was better.  This was the 60^th running of the event, having started in 1967.

Thanks to the helpers: Ian, Rew, Karl, Adrian, Peter, and special thanks to Mary, Ian’s partner, who stationed herself with the drinks at Streetly Gate, which was much appreciated by the runners.

There were 37 runners, 5 of whom went under 60 mins.  3 runners beat their age: Mic Lee, Peter Rodgers and Bob Dredge, well done to them.  The changes of date didn’t help with the numbers, it’s clear we didn’t get through to all the potential runners.

We had several parent and child pairings, which will be included in the results, well done to all of you.

Next year: 30^th June 2027 (weather permitting!)
